| Ian Cook |
 |
One of the UK’s most prolific new
young artists. Ian works with a
range of paints to create his
stunning artwork but doesn’t
use traditional brushes, instead
he chooses car tyres and
remote control cars as his
way of getting paint to paper! |
 |
Ian began his career as a
Lecturer and was invited
to feature on Blue Peter
demonstrating his technique. |
 |
From the success of this
appearance Ian decided to
concentrate on being a full time
artist and develop his passion
for both art and cars! |
|
| Autotraits (portraits using remote controlled cars) have become a key feature in Ian’s portfolio including the 12 metre high portrait of Lewis Hamilton which was displayed next to the Tower Bridge for the final of Grand Prix in 2008. |
 |
| Ian continues using his passion for cars by creating auto drawings of iconic vehicles including Land Rover, Aston Martin, Jaguar and MG. |
 |
| Throughout 2009 Ian has featured at a number of high profile events, demonstrating his unusual technique, including Autosport International, Goodwood Festival of Speed and the British Grand Prix. |
 |
| He also works with the Ford World Rally Team creating artwork of the Championship! |
 |
| Ian has an inspiring story to tell and will give you a great insight into his technique before giving you the opportunity to get ‘hands on’. This is a fantastic technique to take back to the classroom and to get boys engaged in the world of art. |
